Born and raised on the South Shore of Nova Scotia, Andrew is the founder and CEO of Atlantic Youth and the creator of the 4D North Centre for Youth in Cambridge Bay, Nunavut.
Andrew is an award winning Child and Youth Care Worker, entrepreneur, facilitator, public speaker and consultant with over 20 years of experience. In his career, Andrew has worked all over Canada with youth and adults alike in schools, treatment programs, group homes, custody centers, families, community organizations, wilderness programs and more. A skilled facilitator, Andrew has a distinctive and fun teaching style that incorporates storytelling, enjoyable games and unique activities to increase the impact and entertainment of his sessions. Through this he has created over 20 unique programs and workshops, which have been facilitated to well over 60,000 people around the world.
Recently named as one of 'Atlantic Canada's top 50 most inspiring entrepreneurial leaders under the age of 40' by 21inc, Andrew is also the Vice President of the Nova Scotia Child and Youth Care Workers Association and Director of the Rehtaeh Parsons Society. Andrew is also a passionate advocate for Aboriginal youth having spent considerable time working directly with youth in various remote and fly-in communities, particularly those in James Bay, Nunatsiavut, Nunavik and Nunavut.
